GOLD
Chemically gold is a chemical element with symbol AU and atomic number 79. It is one of the least reactive solid element; Also, it is a bright, slightly reddish yellow, dense, soft malleable, and ductile. It is though to have been produced in supernova nucleosynthesis and to have been present in the dust from which the Solar System formed. Because the Earth was molten when it just formed, almost all of the gold present in the Earth probably sank into the planetary core.
The historical value of gold was rooted in its medium rarity, easy handling and miting, easy smelting, non-corodability, distinct color, and reactivity. This metal has been a valuable and highly sought-after precious metal for coinage, jewelry, and other arts doesn't rust it is soft and easy to shape. In the past was implement as a monetary policy (coins) in the 1930s. Gold's value is a cultural phenomenon, its price is determined by a complex combination of factors but not necessarily need. | Its usefulness is derived from a diversity of special properties. Gold conducts electricity, does not tarnish, is very easy to work, can be drawn into wire, can be hammered into thin sheets, alloys with many other metals can be melted and cast into highly detailed shapes, has a wonderful color and a brilliant luster. Throughout the history of our planet almost every established culture has used gold to symbolize power, beauty, purity, and accomplishment. Significant objects today of it's use are: wedding rings, Olympic medals, Oscars, Grammys, money, crucifixes, and ecclesiastical art. Gold is also used in infrared shielding, cooler glass production, and gold leafing. |
Warren Buffet, one of the world's richest investors, says the total amount of gold in the world- the gold above the ground, that is- could fit into a cube with sides of just 20m (67 ft). Not everyone agrees with this, a cube made of 171, 300 tonnes would be about 20m (68ft). There are a diversity opinions some are facts but everyday in any place gold could be found.
Go ld can be found in quite a few location some people have said that they have found gold right in their backyards, and this could very well be true. Gold is panned or mined in several different types of places all over the world location fail into categories: primary and secondary.Gold can be found in larger piece in gold mines these are called primary deposits which are mine and the secondary deposits include rivers, streams, and small creeks. The largest deposit of gold can be found in South Africa. Other major producer of gold include Australia, Russia, and United States. |
One popular source of gold is mines, miners blast into rocks and look for gold seams, the gold is dug out, purified, and sent off into a consumer world. Another way to get gold is to pan for it. It is done with a sieve in fast flowing rivers, rocks, and coarse sand is scraped up from the bottom, passed through the sieve; and the gold flakes extracted and collected.
Gold is currently scarcer, it's value is relative but it does not just depend on the scarcity, but on what people at a particular time hold to be valuable. Another way that gold can be valuable is because is a good source of investment.
